Ometa is specialized in Enterprise Content Management and develops solutions build on SharePoint Technology.

In the past I have designed and built several solutions for workflow and data management on SharePoint.

At this moment, I am developing and maintaining a transparant XML based connectivity platform based on the new .NET 4.0 framework for connecting different external packages (like BaaN, MoveX, SAP, ...) with SharePoint. The main goal for this project is to integrate data from any external software with the powerful features that SharePoint provides. An example is to use an approval process in SharePoint for managing customers in the ERP software.

I also developed a BPEL 2.0 enabled workflow engine. Input for this engine is syntax-checked and interpreted with a self-made grammar in a LL(1) parser named Coco/R. Coco/R is a compiler generator that takes an L-attributed EBNF grammar of a source language and generates a scanner and a parser for that language. Defining stack operations which are used in the grammar leads to a powerful and flexible engine which can also be paused, restored, visualized, ...

Current project: developing a generic SharePoint based lifecycle solution which can maintain states and transitions with different kind of features, functionalities, templates, ... based on the current lifecycle state. This solution is fully integrated with the Ometa Integration Framework to seamlessly include all the great features of the Ometa software.

Together with my co-workers, we are responsible for the software at our site. A custom build ERP application in PowerBuilder delivers a powerful program to our colleagues for managing the whole production process from start to finish including pre-production, planning, production, picking, Q&A, ... We are constantly maintaining and enhancing this ERP software.

I made the choice to go working fulltime in the SharePoint industry (at Ometa at this moment). Working at Smurfit Kappa was a privilige for me. I enjoyed every day and would like to thank all my co-workers for being who they are!
