Project Assistant at International Organization for Migration
Brussels Area, Belgium
In the course of my studies, my interest in migration related issues kept growing. In 2002, during an intership of 6 months in Egypt, I discovered the existence of the International Organisation for Migration (IOM). Established in 1951, IOM is the leading inter-governmental organisation in the field of migration and works closely with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners.
In this international environment, I gained six years progressively responsible experience in developing and implementing projects for vulnerable groups, especially children. Growing as a project manager, I developed strong communication, analytical, and writing skills. I am highly committed to achieving results individually and as part of a team.
Today, I am extremely motivated for and ready to meet the challenges of a career change. My objective clearly lies in a long term professional experience abroad, "in the field", either with IOM or with another international agency of the kind.
Excellent communication skills; analytical and writing skills.
Strong coordination and organisation skills.
Knowledge and experience in managing the entire Project Cycle.
Fluent in English, French, Dutch and German. Basic notions of Arabic.
