Coordination of support, training, localization and services for all European clients of Six Apart who use the Movable Type Publishing Platform to host (part of) their website(s). Clients from various sectors including publishing, television, journalism, insurance, fashion, politics and travel.
* Support: direct support of clients via e-mail, phone and help ticket system, including escalation (and follow-up) of issues with the development team (using bugtracking software and direct contacts).
* Training: on-site and remote training of users and developers of the Movable Type Publishing Platform, in all aspects of usage.
* Localization: personally doing Dutch translations and coordinating the production and delivery of French, German and Spanish language files.
* Services: directly building and maintaining websites and blogs for various clients of Six Apart Europe, including migration from other systems onto the Movable Type Publishing Platform. This includes server setup and installation, template development, plugin installation (and modification) and server management. Often this also included development work in Perl and/or PHP.
Besides Movable Type centric activities I have also taken care of all Dutch language support of the TypePad blogging service along with all Dutch language localization of this service.
I have also taken on the role of Project Manager on various occasions, including the migration of one clients 200.000 users from a home-brewn blogging platform onto a TypePad-based system. This project involved people on two continents in four countries from two different companies, and was completed successfully and on time.
