Comparison of methods to prioritize candidate disease genes according to their presumed involvement in human hereditary diseases.
Wrote a computer program in Perl which combines and compares four techniques to prioritize candidate disease genes. When tested on ten inherited diseases for which the genetic cause isn't determined yet, several of the top scoring genes were found to be highly relevant.
