Ian Culpin’s Summary

Over 35 years experience in Information and Communications Technologies in technical, commercial and management roles including Sales and Marketing management. Over the last 15 years I have focused on policy and practical issues for the individual and SMEs, providing internal consultancy to the European Commission on topics such as Telework, Internet evolution, Electronic Commerce, Regional IS policy, collaborative working and innovation. Currently evaluating Enterprise 2.0 potential in several sectors, especially working practices (Work Nouveau). I have also been participating in several European projects on technology uptake, good practice, change management, and socio-economic impact. I have also acted as an observer, evaluator and reviewer in European research framework programs (FP3-7).
A broad interest in pushing the boundaries of the social impact of technologies, interested in assisting challenging start-ups.

It assists organizations to develop strategies and to deal with rapidly changing environments, especially within the domains of New working practices, Telework, Electronic Commerce, KM. It also supplies strategic and tactical marketing consultancy to SMEs in the high tech sector. Supplier of h/w,s/w, web services to SMEs and micro businesses.
    Has frequently participated in a number of European projects promoting ICT adoption, examining socio-economic impacts of ICTs, and policy issues. Previous activities include studies for the European Parliament and and providing primary support for the G7 pilot project "A global marketplace for SMEs"
