Gunther Clauwaert’s Summary

After a couple of years as IT Product Manager, where my main activity was the purchase of ICT material for one of the at that moment biggest computer peripherals and consumer software distributor I moved to a sales position.

At Sybase the main focus was recruiting new partners and identifying opportunities where the partner solutions can provide added value. My role was two faulted; 1) convincing OEM’s (BtB) to use Sybase’s SQL Anywhere in their packaged applications over Microsoft SQL or Oracle and identifying End Users (BtC) that could be interested in Sybase Partner Solutions.

The main responsibilities at Oracle as Consulting Sales Representative were winning new consulting applications accounts and develop and manage the relationship with them.

The last two years I operated as Consulting Operations Manager Benelux in Oracle’s Services / Consulting division. In this role I was part of the Belgian management team as Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and part of the Technology Benelux business unit as Business Operational Analyst (BOA).

As SPOC I was responsible of informing the management team about the actual business status and analyze the operational impact of urgent and future business decisions. In this role I was responsible for the good functioning of the operations team that existed from 2 Project Accounting specialists, 1 consulting assistant, 1 BOA and 1 sales assistant.

As BOA I analyzed monthly and weekly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) such as: Missing Time, Work at Risk, Inter department transactions, Forecasting, Subcontracting … and on-demand requests. In this role I worked closely with the Finance department for all financial KPI’s.

Gunther Clauwaert’s Specialties:

My main driver is customer satisfaction. In the Consulting Sales role my motivation was finding the exact fit between the customers requirements and Oracle’s wide range of technology and applications. As SPOC I specifically enjoyed the interaction with the management team and the ability to provide solutions to their specific requests.
