So, why re-invent the wheel? I know there already are fantastic and easy to integrate CMS systems. But none exactly fits my needs, and as a ColdFusion developer myself, I just wanted to use my own system from now on. Also, this CMS is an ideal case study on CF8 and one more proof that you actually can develop a complete CMS from scratch, with only one developer and in less than one month of time. The system is completely customizable from lay-out to everything, integrating blog, agenda, news feeds with comments and file downloads, reviews, product catalog with rating and reviewing system, shop with cart and payment integration, photo/video galleries, Ad sense and You Tube integration, user log-in with user roles...
Future developments will include a forum, Ajax user interface, RSS syndication and some more ideas I have yet to think of.

When Expat Online came to an end, due to the decease of its owner, several sub sites depending on that particular website came in troubles. Sites became unavailable and even data was at risk to be lost forever.
Golfusa is one of these sites. Since I used to be an adviser for Mr. John Pollart, owner of Expat Online, I kept a full copy of the website. When the site went offline, I was able to extract all sub sites and help people out with further implementation on new locations.

From '97 to '99, I'm product manager and promote our decorative fruit product to an important Belgian supermarket company GIB Group a.k.a. GB-Brico. I convinced their section manager from the first meeting up and had to deliver up to 3 full trailers of merchandise per year. Prior to the meeting, I took care of the promotion and marketing of the product. I learnt that when marketing is well done, the product will sell for itself.
Taking care of selling the product was only half the job. The other part was the logistic behind the growing, packaging and transportation of the goods. Which I managed to bring to a happy ending. Learnt a lot at the time when I was a very young entrepreneur.
