I love the metaphor, but maybe quasi-experimental inquiry (QEI) methods are the... well... the (Toyota) Prius (what else?;)) of research designs.

The most fun was thesis 1. December day: police officer gave us a ticket for double parking (I was in driver's seat engine running--thus legally not parked, but stopped) while our daughter was breastfeeding in the back of the car... We won in Court. Yet, by asking the right question(s), from here I applied contingency theory (in organizational design/development) to public management in international/transnational organizations... in search for optimal decision making... some road of an idea...
