Antonio Emilio Di Matteo got a (MSC) Master degree in Computer Science at University of Salerno (Italy) with 110/110 magna cum laude working on distributed systems (March 2007) and then continuing at the University of Salerno for a short term contract (10 months) in a research labs as designer/developer for a distributed system using Java technologies in a team of seven people and participating in three international publications. During this experience Antonio has been involved in design and development of a framework to host distributed applications supporting collaboration. The work has been carried out for a European Community funded project (LEAD) in order to provide a new groupware application for digital discussions in a live classroom situation.
Antonio got three certifications from Sun Microsystems as Certified Programmer for the Java 2 Platform, Standard Edition 5.0 (June 2007), as Certified Business Component Developer, for the Java Enterprise Edition 5 (October 2007) and as Certified Enterprise Architect for Java Platform Enterprise Edition 5 (December 2007).
In November 2007 Antonio moved for good to Dublin, Ireland, where he has worked at Payzone PLC as a Software Engineer for one year and 5 months, working on transactions management in distributed systems, designing and developing interactions and integrations between distributed components for payment networks. During this experience, Antonio has been involved in several projects working with Java Technologies in J2EE distributed systems showing excellent knowledge of object oriented design, design patterns, UML, eXtreme Programming, design and understanding of distributed systems, multi-threading programming, user interface design and unit testing.
In April 2009 Antonio moved for good to Brussels, Belgium, where is currently working at AKKA Benelux as IT Consultant.

Java Developer. Design and development of a framework to host distributed applications supporting collaboration. The CoFFEE platform is a distributed system, a suite of Eclipse RCP-based applications: the Roster Editor, the Session Designer, the Session Player and the Session Client. The infrastructure we developed is able to support a wide variety of tools, providing them general services. Scenarios varies from supporting cooperation of learners in class, or in laboratories, but also in supporting impromptu collaboration or via a private network for a business meeting. Responsible for designing of the core architecture of the framework, analyzing new features, developing and fixes.
